All your collections, memorization progress, and personal settings are stored locally on your device using SQLite. We do not have access to this data, and it is never transmitted to our servers.
You are solely responsible for your own data backup. Uninstalling the app or resetting your device will permanently delete all locally stored data. We do not provide data recovery services.
We collect minimal anonymous usage data to improve the app. This includes:
This data is fully anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally. It is used solely for improving app performance, fixing bugs, and enhancing features. We do not share this data with any third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
All data is transmitted over a secure HTTPS connection. Server-side anonymous logs are retained for up to 12 months and then automatically deleted.
If you choose to enable push notifications, a push token is stored on our server solely for the purpose of sending you study reminders. This token is not linked to any personal information.
You can disable notifications at any time through your device Settings or within the app. Once disabled, the associated push token is no longer used to deliver notifications.
Selah uses the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is freely licensed for use in applications. The BSB text is provided by Bible Hub and is used in accordance with its open license terms.

Since we only collect anonymized data, we cannot identify your specific records without supporting details. Please include your device platform and approximate first-use date when making a request.
Selah is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us at selah.bible.help@gmail.com and we will promptly delete the relevant data.
Selah is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We are not responsible for any loss of data or damages arising from the use of this app.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date and incrementing the version number. Previous versions remain accessible through the Version History above.
Your continued use of Selah after changes are published indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
